Winfield Bevins is an author, artist, and speaker whose passion is to help others connect to the roots of the Christian faith for discipleship and mission. He is the Director of Church Planting at Asbury Theological Seminary. And he frequently speaks at conferences on a variety of topics and is a regular adjunct professor at several seminaries. Having grown up in a free-church background, Winfield eventually found his spiritual home in the Anglican tradition, but freely draws wisdom from all church traditions.

Having authored several books, his writings explore the convergence of liturgy, prayer, and mission. His latest book, Ever Ancient, Ever New, examines young adults who have embraced Christian liturgy and how it has impacted their lives.

As an artist, Winfield is dedicated to connecting the church and the arts community. He is a visual artist who enjoys painting iconography, landscapes, and portraits. Over the past decade, he has helped start numerous arts initiatives, including a non-profit art gallery and studio and an arts program in North Carolina.

Dr. Charlie Self is one of our former professors at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. His Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Cruz was in Modern European History, with a focus on Belgian Protestantism, studies in Virtue Ethics, and the Holocaust.

Dr. Self is the author of three books: The Divine Dance, The Power of Faithful Focus, and his most recent work, Flourishing Churches and Communities: A Pentecostal Primer on Faith, Work and Economics for Spirit-Empowered Discipleship.

Today, Dr. Self is the Director of City Development for the Made To Flourish Network, a community of pastors connecting faith and work. Charlie has the honor of resourcing current city leaders and helping create new networks across all denominations. He is also in demand as a strategic consultant, encourager to leaders, keynote speaker and presenter to church and civic groups. And this is just a taste of all the work he’s doing.

Dr. Charlie Self is best at stimulating people of all perspectives to “think deeply and act decisively.”

Christine Sine is the founder and facilitator for Godspace, which grew out of her passion for creative spirituality, gardening and sustainability. Together with her husband, Tom, she is also co-Founder of Mustard Seed Associates. She describes herself as a contemplative activist, passionate gardener, author, and liturgist.

She loves messing with church traditions and inspiring followers of Jesus to develop creative approaches to spirituality that intertwine the sacred through all of life. Christine is inspired by Celtic Christian spirituality, which has opened her eyes to the God who is present in every moment, every experience and every place.

Her book, The Gift of Wonder: Creative Practices for Delighting in God, is a great tool for learning to connect with what God is doing in the everyday moments of your day.

In a former life Christine trained as a physician in Australia practiced in New Zealand and developed and directed the healthcare ministry for Mercy Ships. She no longer practices medicine but delights in guiding people towards the health and wholeness of God’s new world.

Leo Sánchez is the Werner R. H. and Elizabeth R. Krause Professor of Hispanic Ministries at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. A faculty member since 2004, he is professor of Systematic Theology and director of the Seminary’s Center for Hispanic Studies.

He received his Doctor of Philosophy from Concordia Seminary and his Master of Divinity from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, IN. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon.

Leo teaches regularly in the United States and abroad. And he has delivered courses and workshops in Brazil, Cuba, India, Ghana, Chile, Panama, Argentina and Venezuela. He has participated in various colloquies on pedagogy through the Wabash Center for Teaching and Learning in Theology and Religion.

In his community, Leo is principal double bass player with the St. Louis Civic Orchestra. He also enjoys swimming and international cooking. He and his wife, Tracy Lynn, have two children; Lucas Antonio and Ana Victoria.

Casey Tygrett is an author, pastor, and spiritual director. He is the host of the “otherWISE” podcast, a place for gathering wise conversations about living well on the journey with Jesus. He holds both a Master of Divinity degree and a Doctor of Ministry in Spiritual Formation degree from Lincoln Christian Seminary. He has taught both graduate and undergraduate level courses in Christian higher education in the United States and Australia. He also serves as a board member for the Apprentice Institute, a program focusing on Christian spiritual formation located at Friends University in Wichita, Kansas.

He is the author of two books, Becoming Curious: A Spiritual Practice of Asking Questions (2017) and As I Recall: Discovering the Place of Memories in the Spiritual Life (2019), both with InterVarsity Press.

Casey has served both in rural churches of 25 and suburban megachurches of 10,000. He and his wife Holley and their daughter Bailey currently live in Chicago, IL where he is the Theologian in Residence at Parkview Christian Church.
